Sowore Vows to Challenge Court Order Restricting #FreeNnamdiKanu Protests
Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has vowed to contest a Federal High Court injunction barring planned protests calling for the release of Nnamdi Kanu and his organisation. The court ruling, issued ahead of a scheduled rally on October 20, restricts demonstrations around key sites in Abuja, including the seat of government and national institutions.
Sowore, who had mobilised for the nationwide #FreeNnamdiKanu campaign, described the prohibition as a violation of constitutional rights to peaceful assembly and expression.
