Rivers Administrator Ibas Launches Youth Behavioural Training in Port Harcourt

The Rivers State Administrator, Vice-Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), has unveiled a youth behavioural training initiative in Port Harcourt aimed at equipping young people with life skills and discipline to foster positive societal impact.

Speaking at the launch, Ibas stressed that the program is designed to curb rising cases of youth restiveness while promoting personal development, leadership, and responsible citizenship. He emphasized that building strong moral values among young people is crucial for the state’s peace and progress.

The training, which will run in phases, includes mentorship sessions, workshops, and interactive engagements with experts across various fields. Beneficiaries are expected to gain not only behavioural guidance but also practical skills to enhance their productivity.

Community leaders and stakeholders lauded the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that could redirect youths toward constructive pursuits and reduce social vices.
