The social media community is in mourning following the tragic death of Tucker Genal, a popular TikTok creator known for his infectious energy and collaborative videos with his brothers. Genal, who had amassed more than 2.5 million followers on his personal account and millions more through the “Hustle House” brand, was 31 years old.
The news was confirmed on Monday, December 15, by his brothers, Carson and Connor Genal, through a joint Instagram post. In a deeply emotional tribute, they described Tucker as their “best friend” and “hero.”
“I don’t even know where to begin,” the post read. “You were my best friend and an even better big brother. My entire life I’ve spent looking up to you and trying to follow in your footsteps because you were always my hero… You were the kindest person I’ve ever met and the greatest brother that anyone could have ever asked for.”

According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Genal passed away on Thursday, December 11, at his residence. Before rising to digital stardom, Tucker was a standout student-athlete, playing wide receiver for Furman University, where he graduated with a degree in business administration in 2018.
He eventually turned his creative eye toward social media, moving to Los Angeles and founding the “Hustle House” content collective with his brothers. The group became famous for their high-production challenge videos and lighthearted skits. Beyond his own content, he worked as a social media coordinator for the famed sneaker artist Kickasso, further blending his business acumen with the creator economy.
Outpouring of Grief
Tributes have flooded in from across the influencer landscape. Notable figures like Jersey Shore’s Deena Nicole Cortese and Dance Moms alum Kendall Vertes expressed their condolences, noting that the Genal brothers’ videos provided a sense of familiarity and joy to millions. His best friend and frequent collaborator, Sean Schutt, shared a moving message crediting Tucker with giving him a “new perspective on life” and being the “most selfless person” he knew.
The family has respectfully asked for privacy as they navigate this profound loss. Tucker’s final TikTok post, shared just a week before his passing, was a retrospective slideshow of his favorite moments from the past year, captioned: “Wish I could relive some of these moments twice.”
