Netflix Confirms Final ‘Stranger Things’ Season to Launch in Three-Part Holiday Event
The long-awaited final chapter of the globally successful supernatural series Stranger Things is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, just ahead of the American Thanksgiving holiday, launching the first installment of a unique three-part release schedule. This concluding season, which returns the heroes of Hawkins to confront the final threat of Vecna, will be released exclusively on the streaming giant Netflix. This structured rollout confirms speculation regarding a staggered approach designed to maximize viewership and engagement throughout the holiday season, a strategy previously utilized by the platform for the preceding fourth season.

The initial drop, officially designated as Volume 1, will consist of the first four episodes of the eight-episode season. These episodes will be available to stream globally starting at 8:00 PM Eastern Time (ET) / 5:00 PM Pacific Time (PT) on the aforementioned Wednesday, November 26. This prime-time release is a notable departure from the service’s traditional midnight Pacific Time launches, reflecting the monumental stature of the series and the desire for immediate mass viewing across the United States.
Following the opening volume, the remainder of the series will be split across two subsequent holiday dates. Volume 2, comprising three additional episodes, is scheduled for release on Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25, 2025. The grand finale of the entire series, consisting of a single, feature-length episode, will then be released as Volume 3 on New Year’s Eve, Wednesday, December 31, 2025. The final episode is also slated for simultaneous screening in select theaters across the U.S. and Canada, providing a unique cinematic experience for the conclusion of the nearly decade-long saga. All parts of the final season will require an active Netflix subscription for streaming access.
