The season will kick off its final eight-episode run on Tuesday, April 8, 2026, with a two-episode premiere, followed by a weekly release schedule that culminates in the series finale on May 20, 2026.
The teaser trailer, true to the show’s notoriously gory style, reveals a world in complete chaos under the tyrannical rule of Homelander (Antony Starr). The official synopsis reveals that major characters, including Hughie, Mother’s Milk, and Frenchie, begin the season imprisoned in a “Freedom Camp” as Homelander’s power remains unchecked. However, the conflict is set to reach its climax when Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) reappears with a deadly, supe-specific virus that he is ready to unleash to “wipe all Supes off the map.”
Adding a major layer of anticipation, the footage confirmed a full “Supernatural” reunion, as Jensen Ackles reprises his role as Soldier Boy and is joined by former co-star Jared Padalecki, who appears in an undisclosed but blood-drenched new role.
