“Nigerians Are the Biggest Hypocrites” – Bobrisky Calls Out KC Luxury’s Friends After His Arrest
Popular Nigerian crossdresser, Bobrisky, has criticised Nigerians who have allegedly turned against luxury influencer KC Luxury following his arrest by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
Bobrisky described Nigerians as “the biggest hypocrites” while reacting to the behaviour of people who, according to him, openly associated with and supported KC Luxury before his arrest but began distancing themselves from him after the development.
The controversy followed the arrest of Afolabi Kazeem Michael, popularly known as KC Luxury. The NDLEA reportedly arrested him at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on August 13, 2026, while he was allegedly preparing to travel to Paris. Authorities said 184.5kg of cocaine, valued at about $27.7 million, was recovered in connection with the investigation.
Reacting to the situation, Bobrisky questioned why some people who allegedly praised KC Luxury and maintained close relationships with him before his arrest were now publicly criticising him.
He said the sudden change in attitude showed hypocrisy, arguing that some people only became vocal after KC Luxury came under investigation.
Bobrisky also addressed those he described as KC Luxury’s close friends who were allegedly denying their relationship with him following his arrest. He said friendship should not automatically mean supporting a person’s alleged wrongdoing, but people should not pretend they never knew the person simply because they are facing legal problems.
“I will never deny any of my friends regardless of his/her offence. I will condemn his act but still stand tall for him or her,” Bobrisky said in his social media post.
The entertainer added that he would rather condemn an alleged offence while still standing by a friend than abandon the person when trouble comes.
Bobrisky made it clear that he is not KC Luxury’s friend and does not follow him. However, he said the reaction of some people who allegedly supported the influencer before his arrest had made him question the loyalty of people in today’s society.
His comments have generated mixed reactions online, with some Nigerians agreeing that people should not suddenly deny relationships when someone faces allegations, while others argued that individuals have the right to distance themselves from anyone accused of serious crimes.
KC Luxury is facing allegations connected to an international cocaine trafficking investigation. The allegations remain subject to the legal process, and any guilt must be established by a court.
