Sean Diddy Combs Sentenced to Over Four Years for Prostitution-Related Convictions
Sean “Diddy” Combs has been sentenced to 50 months in federal prison after being convicted on prostitution-related charges. The ruling was delivered by Judge Arun Subramanian at a Manhattan federal court, marking a dramatic fall for the music mogul.
The 55-year-old had been in custody at a Brooklyn detention center since his arrest in September 2024. He was found guilty in July 2025 of arranging interstate travel for male escorts to take part in drug-fueled sexual events, known as “freak-offs,” which often involved his former partners.
Although prosecutors had sought a much longer sentence of more than 11 years, Combs was acquitted of the more serious racketeering and sex trafficking charges that could have carried a life sentence.
During the hearing, Combs expressed remorse for his actions, acknowledging past abuse and substance issues. His defense team argued for leniency, highlighting his struggles with addiction and the time he had already spent behind bars. His children also made personal pleas for a reduced sentence.
Alongside the prison term, Combs has been fined $500,000. With time already served, he is expected to spend approximately three more years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release.
