FBI Arrests Florida Man in Alleged Neo-Nazi Terror Plot Targeting Minorities and Law Enforcement
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, or FBI, has successfully interdicted a domestic terror plot following the arrest of a twenty-year-old Florida man who was allegedly planning to conduct a mass casualty attack and livestream the violence. Lucas Alexander Temple was apprehended on federal charges, including distribution of information pertaining to the manufacture of explosives and possession of an unregistered short-barreled shotgun. According to the criminal complaint and accompanying affidavit, Mr. Temple used multiple aliases, notably “Devilwaffen999,” within encrypted Signal messaging chats linked to neo-Nazi and accelerationist extremist groups, which the FBI had successfully infiltrated and monitored.
The investigation revealed that Mr. Temple was a prolific participant in these extremist chats, where he allegedly posted links to videos and shared detailed, sufficient instructions for synthesizing TNT and constructing homemade blasting caps and pipe bombs. Investigators also recovered highly disturbing and graphic messages attributed to Mr. Temple, which included discussions promoting the torture and murder of non-white children and sexually violent rhetoric. The content included a shared 122-page neo-Nazi manual promoting the need to “secure the existence of white martyrs and genocide planet to total perfection,” further illustrating the extreme ideological motivation behind the alleged conspiracy.
The most critical evidence was reportedly a handwritten note discovered in Mr. Temple’s bedroom during the execution of a search warrant. The note explicitly outlined a detailed plan to carry out and broadcast a terror attack, listing preparations such as: “Wear body cams for livestream,” “Notify friends of livestream,” and crucially, “Place motion-activated bombs in doorways (for cops).” Investigators also found neo-Nazi propaganda and an illegally sawed-off Springfield Model 67 Series E shotgun at his residence. During his initial court appearance, a federal magistrate judge ordered that Mr. Temple remain detained without bail, concluding that he poses a serious and immediate danger to the community.
