
The Dangote Group has warned it will take legal action against truck operators unlawfully using its company logo on vehicles not linked to its operations. The company disclosed that several unauthorized trucks displaying the Dangote branding have been involved in unrelated activities, raising fears of reputational harm and security breaches.
In a statement, the conglomerate stressed that only accredited contractors and registered transporters are permitted to display its logo. It warned that the misuse of its brand identity constitutes a clear case of trademark infringement and offenders will face serious legal consequences.
The company further revealed that it has alerted security agencies to clamp down on unauthorized vehicles bearing its brand and assured stakeholders that it remains committed to safeguarding its corporate image and operational integrity.
