Chelsea Confirms Starting Lineup for Premier League Clash Against Leeds United

Chelsea Football Club has confirmed its starting lineup for the Premier League match against Leeds United at Elland Road, with manager Enzo Maresca electing to make five major changes to the side that secured a 1-1 draw against Arsenal over the weekend. The rotation is necessary to manage a congested fixture schedule and cope with key absences, most notably the suspension of midfielder Moises Caicedo following his red card in the previous match.

The confirmed lineup for the Premier League fixture is:

  • Goalkeeper: Robert Sanchez
  • Defenders: Trevoh Chalobah, Tosin Adarabioyo, Benoit Badiashile, Marc Cucurella
  • Midfielders: Andrey Santos, Enzo Fernandez (Captain)
  • Forwards/Attackers: Estevao Willian, Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens
  • Striker: Liam Delap

Brazilian midfielder Andrey Santos steps into the starting eleven to replace the suspended Caicedo, partnering with Captain Enzo Fernandez in the center of the park. In defense, Tosin Adarabioyo and Benoit Badiashile come into the backline, allowing for rest for Wesley Fofana, while Trevoh Chalobah takes the right-back role, with Reece James rotated to the bench. In the attack, Jamie Gittens and Liam Delap are given starting opportunities, with Joao Pedro moving into a deeper attacking role, while playmaker Cole Palmer is again named among the substitutes. The substitutes’ bench also includes Gusto, James, Hato, Neto, Garnacho, and Guiu. Injured players who miss out on the squad include Levi Colwill, Romeo Lavia, and Dario Essugo.
