BTS to Make Special Appearance at 2026 AMAs
BTS 2026 American Music Awards appearance
Global superstars BTS are set to make a highly anticipated special appearance at the 52nd annual American Music Awards, marking the group’s first live award show attendance in four years.
Organizers officially confirmed the news on Wednesday, unveiling a promotional poster featuring the band and urging fans to prepare for the live broadcast. The event is scheduled to take place on Monday, May 25, 2026, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The announcement comes amidst a whirlwind year for the group, who are currently in the midst of their successful “Arirang World Tour.” For BTS, this year’s ceremony holds significant competitive weight, as they have secured nominations in three categories: Artist of the Year, Song of the Summer for their hit track “Swim,” and Best K-Pop Artist.
Having previously won 11 American Music Awards—including the prestigious Artist of the Year honor in 2021—the group remains one of the most decorated acts in the show’s history.
This return to the award show circuit follows a period of individual projects and group hiatus, reinforcing the band’s enduring global influence.
The 2026 AMAs, which will be hosted by Queen Latifah, are set to be a landmark night for music, as the ceremony also prepares to honor Darius Rucker with the Veterans Voice Award.
As excitement builds, fans are eager to see if BTS can add to their extensive trophy collection.
The ceremony will be broadcast live coast-to-coast at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT on CBS and Paramount+. Following their appearance at the AMAs, the members of BTS are also scheduled to co-headline the first-ever halftime show at the FIFA World Cup Final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium, alongside artists including Madonna and Shakira.
