“Two Years Ago, Poco Lee Tried to Rape My Friend and Me” – Rapper Ms Jorji Makes Allegation
Nigerian rapper Ms Jorji has made a serious allegation against popular dancer and entertainer Poco Lee, claiming that he attempted to sexually assault her and her female friend about two years ago.
Ms Jorji made the allegation in a video shared online amid reports that Poco Lee had allegedly been arrested in the United Kingdom over a sexual offence. However, the reported arrest has not been independently confirmed by UK police or a court.
According to Ms Jorji, the alleged incident happened in Dallas, Texas, in 2024. She said she and her friend visited Poco Lee after he invited them to his apartment. At the time, she said she was seeking professional advice as she was beginning her career as a rapper.
Ms Jorji claimed that Poco Lee began making unwanted advances towards her despite knowing that she was married. She alleged that she resisted his advances before he allegedly turned his attention to her friend.
The rapper further alleged that Poco Lee attempted to force her friend into another room, prompting both women to physically resist him. She claimed that they eventually managed to push him away and immediately left the apartment.
“Two years ago, Pocolee tried to rape my friend and me; we ended up beating him and pushing him off,” Ms Jorji alleged while recounting the incident.
She also explained why she did not speak publicly about the alleged encounter when it happened. According to her, fear and concerns about whether people would believe her prevented her from immediately discussing the matter publicly.
Ms Jorji further claimed that sexual demands linked to career opportunities are a wider problem within the entertainment industry. She alleged that she had encountered similar situations involving other people in the music business.
Her allegations surfaced as reports about Poco Lee’s alleged arrest in the UK began circulating online. Several Nigerian media outlets have reported the claim, but available reports say there is currently no official confirmation from UK law enforcement or a court establishing that he was arrested or formally charged.
There is also no verified evidence currently linking Ms Jorji’s 2024 allegation in Dallas to the reported UK incident. Poco Lee has not publicly responded to Ms Jorji’s specific allegations as of the latest reports.
The allegations remain claims and have not been proven in court. Any response from Poco Lee, his representatives or relevant authorities could provide further clarity on the matter.
