Police arrest alleged fake pastor over Jerusalem pilgrimage scam
Police have arrested a man accused of posing as a pastor and allegedly defrauding unsuspecting members of the public through a fake Jerusalem pilgrimage scheme.
The suspect reportedly presented himself as a religious leader and allegedly convinced victims to pay money for arrangements connected to a pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
According to reports, concerns were raised after some of the individuals who paid money for the supposed pilgrimage discovered that the arrangements were allegedly fraudulent.
Following complaints from victims, police operatives reportedly commenced an investigation that led to the suspect’s arrest.
