2027 Elections: Peter Obi Holds Strategic Meetings with Obasanjo and Ladoja
Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Oyo State Governor Rashidi Ladoja as political consultations intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meetings, which took place separately, are seen as part of Obi’s broader engagement with influential political figures in preparation for the next presidential race. Obasanjo, who openly supported Obi in 2023, is believed to remain a key ally, while Ladoja’s influence in the South-West adds further weight to the consultations.
Although details of their discussions were not disclosed, political observers suggest the talks centered on building alliances and strengthening support bases across different regions of the country.
Obi’s renewed consultations underscore the growing momentum in Nigeria’s political landscape as the race toward 2027 begins to take shape.
