According to official reports from The Times of Israel, the IRGC has reportedly moved additional anti-ship missile batteries and fast-attack swarm boats to the Musandam Peninsula in response to the U.S. buildup.
The escalating rhetoric follows President Trump’s executive order authorizing the U.S. Fifth Fleet to provide “defensive bubbles” for approximately 1,000 international merchant ships currently stranded in the Persian Gulf. While the White House has framed the mission as a humanitarian effort to rescue 20,000 seafarers and stabilize global energy supplies, Iran views the move as a strategic attempt to break its blockade without making diplomatic concessions.
