AC Milan Call Off Victor Boniface Transfer After Failed Medicals

AC Milan have officially pulled out of a proposed deal to sign Nigerian striker Victor Boniface after the player reportedly failed his medical examinations. The 24-year-old forward, who had been on the verge of joining the Serie A giants from Bayer Leverkusen, was expected to complete one of the biggest moves of the transfer window before complications arose.

Boniface, who enjoyed a breakout 2023/24 season in Germany and played a vital role in Leverkusen’s Bundesliga-winning campaign, had already agreed on personal terms with Milan. However, medical checks revealed concerns that prompted the Italian club to end negotiations.

The failed move comes as a major blow for Milan, who had identified Boniface as a long-term attacking option to bolster their frontline. For the striker, the collapse of the transfer means he will remain at Bayer Leverkusen unless another club reignites interest before the transfer deadline.

Fans of the Nigerian international expressed disappointment online, as many were eager to see him make the switch to one of Europe’s most historic clubs. Despite the setback, Boniface is expected to refocus on his season with Leverkusen, where he remains a key figure under manager Xabi Alonso.
