Hayden Christensen Reveals How He Bonds With Daughter Briar Rose
Hollywood actor Hayden Christensen has shared a rare insight into his relationship with his 11-year-old daughter, Briar Rose, revealing that they enjoy spending time together watching her favourite television shows.
Christensen, 45, spoke about fatherhood during an interview with MTV UK at the 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in California. He said he enjoys watching shows with his daughter, regardless of whether they are necessarily the type of programmes he would choose on his own.
“I have a young daughter, and I love watching shows with her,” Christensen said. He revealed that Briar’s current favourites include Liv and Maddie and Henry Danger, adding that he enjoys watching the programmes with her.
The Star Wars actor also revealed that his viewing choices change when his daughter is not around. He said he had recently started watching The Agency, the spy thriller starring Michael Fassbender.
Christensen shares Briar Rose with his former partner, actress Rachel Bilson. The pair dated from 2007 until their final split in 2017 and have continued to co-parent their daughter. Bilson has previously described their co-parenting relationship as positive, saying communication and compromise have helped them maintain a good relationship for Briar.
Christensen has also previously revealed that Briar became aware of her father’s famous Star Wars role after becoming his “first lightsaber training partner” while he prepared for Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Although Briar knows her father played Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader, Christensen has said she had not yet watched the Star Wars films. He previously indicated that he was waiting for the right time before showing her the prequel movies because some scenes might be too intense for her.
The actor’s latest comments offer another glimpse into his private life and show how he values simple father-daughter activities despite his demanding career in Hollywood.
Christensen is also preparing to return as Anakin Skywalker in the second season of Ahsoka, with Disney confirming his involvement at the 2026 D23 event.
