Air Peace to Launch Direct Flights from Lagos to São Paulo After Tinubu’s Brazil Visit

Air Peace is set to commence direct flight operations from Lagos, Nigeria, to São Paulo, Brazil, following a new aviation agreement reached during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s state visit to Brazil. The deal marks a major step in strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations and expanding Nigeria’s aviation footprint in South America.

The new route will make Air Peace the first Nigerian airline to operate direct commercial flights to Brazil, significantly improving connectivity for business, tourism, and trade between Africa’s largest economy and South America’s biggest market. Industry experts believe the move will boost economic ties, ease passenger travel, and enhance cargo transport opportunities.

President Tinubu, during his official visit, emphasized that the agreement aligns with his administration’s vision of positioning Nigeria as a major hub for global trade and travel. Air Peace, which has steadily expanded its international routes in recent years, is expected to begin operations on the Lagos–São Paulo route soon, pending final regulatory clearances.

The development also comes as Air Peace continues to grow its long-haul fleet, aiming to bridge travel gaps between Africa and the rest of the world.
