Miami Heat’s Bam Adebayo Reportedly Strikes Former Teammate Tyler Herro in Las Vegas Altercation
Bam Adebayo strikes Tyler Herro Las Vegas
Miami Heat captain Bam Adebayo and former teammate Tyler Herro were involved in a brief verbal and physical altercation at a practice facility in Las Vegas on Friday, July 10, 2026. According to multiple reports, Adebayo struck Herro in the head at least once during the encounter, which occurred while both players were in town for the NBA Summer League.
The confrontation reportedly stemmed from critical comments Herro allegedly made regarding Adebayo on social media. Sources indicated that screenshots of direct messages, in which Herro appeared to question Adebayo’s defensive performance and his three-year, $166 million contract extension signed in 2024, had recently circulated publicly.
The incident took place on a practice court at a local hotel. Herro, who was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks earlier this month in a blockbuster deal involving Giannis Antetokounmpo, attended a Summer League game between the Heat and the Bucks later that day. Adebayo was not present at that game.
When approached for comment by local media following the Summer League game, Herro stated, “my only comment is no comment”. Both the Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks organizations have acknowledged they are aware of the incident but have declined to provide further official details.
