Iran Targets U.S. Assets in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar After U.S. Strikes
In a significant escalation of hostilities, the Iranian military has launched waves of one-way attack drones and missiles against U.S. military-linked sites across the Gulf. The attacks, which targeted facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar, were described by Tehran as a punitive response to consecutive nights of intense U.S. military operations against Iranian territory.
According to reports from state media and regional defense ministries, the Iranian military targeted a Patriot missile interceptor system in Kuwait, fuel storage facilities in Bahrain used by U.S. forces, and an early-warning satellite antenna site in Qatar. The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense confirmed the interception of several incoming missiles and drones, noting that falling debris caused material damage.
This latest round of violence follows President Donald Trump’s declaration that the interim Middle East ceasefire is over. The U.S. military action, which involved strikes on a large number of targets across Iran, was launched in retaliation for Iranian attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
The situation remains volatile, with reports indicating that Iran also extended its retaliatory campaign to include a ballistic missile strike against the Al Azraq Air Base in Jordan. As global energy markets brace for further disruption, the international community has expressed alarm, with officials from several countries calling for urgent de-escalation to prevent a total collapse of regional stability.
