Manchester United Team Confirmed: Amorim Makes One Attacking Change vs. Wolves
Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has confirmed his starting lineup for the Premier League fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux, making a single, significant change to the team that drew with West Ham United last time out. The alteration focuses on the attack, with midfielder Mason Mount replacing forward Joshua Zirkzee in the starting XI.
The defense and midfield remain unchanged, retaining the back-three system used in recent games. Senne Lammens continues in goal, protected by a defensive line of Noussair Mazraoui, Ayden Heaven, and Luke Shaw. Both wing-backs, Amad and Diogo Dalot, keep their places, with Dalot declared fit despite picking up a knock in the previous match.
In midfield, the familiar pairing of Casemiro and captain Bruno Fernandes starts again, while Mount is expected to join Bryan Mbeumo just behind the central striker. The switch sees the versatile Mount brought in to provide a different dynamic in the final third, with former Wolves player Matheus Cunha leading the line against his old club. Young midfielder Kobbie Mainoo remains on the bench despite increasing calls from fans for him to be included in the starting lineup. Notably, defender Matthijs de Ligt remains sidelined due to injury, but Lisandro Martinez is named among the substitutes for the game.
