The full list of nominees for the 2025 Ballon d’Or has been officially released, showcasing the most exceptional football talents across various categories, including men’s, women’s, youth, goalkeeping, club, and coaching honors. In the men’s category, Paris Saint-Germain leads the nominations with a record nine players following their historic treble-winning campaign. The club’s nominees include Ousmane Dembélé, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Achraf Hakimi, Joāo Neves, Nuno Mendes, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Désiré Doué, Vitinha, and Fabián Ruiz. This dominance reflects PSG’s remarkable success in the 2024–2025 football season, winning Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and the UEFA Champions League.

Other top clubs represented among the nominees include Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Inter Milan. Notable names on the list are Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham, Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane, Erling Haaland, Robert Lewandowski, Pedri, Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, Declan Rice, Cole Palmer, Scott McTominay, and Virgil van Dijk. These players have been recognized for their consistent performances across domestic leagues and international competitions during the evaluation period from August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025.

In the women’s Ballon d’Or category, Spain’s dominance continues through FC Barcelona’s representatives. Aitana Bonmatí, who is aiming for her third consecutive Ballon d’Or title, leads the nominations. She is joined by teammates Alexia Putellas, Patri Guijarro, Mariona Caldentey, and Vicky López. The 69th edition of the Ballon d’Or ceremony is scheduled to take place on September 22, 2025, at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.
