FBI Thwarts Plot Targeting White House UFC Event

Federal authorities have disrupted an alleged plot to attack the “UFC America 250” event, which was held on the White House South Lawn on June 14, 2026. The FBI announced that it became aware of the threat on June 10 and conducted a multi-state operation to take five suspects into custody. Those charged include Tycen Proper of Ohio, Daniel Eskridge of Missouri, Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez of Nebraska, and Bryan Omar Roa and Michael Alan Thomas of California.
Court documents detail an alleged plan to use small, explosive-laden drones to strike buildings near the event, intended to force a mass evacuation of attendees. The conspirators reportedly planned to position snipers to target attendees and “high-value targets” as they fled the area. Investigators identified a network of approximately 23 individuals who coordinated the scheme using encrypted messaging on Signal and via TikTok. According to the filings, the group organized itself into a “tier system” for various roles, including logistics, drone operations, and combat.
The defendants allegedly harbored grievances regarding U.S. government policies, including support for Israel, the handling of Jeffrey Epstein-related files, and data centers. The investigation was initiated after the mother of 19-year-old suspect Tycen Proper contacted local law enforcement with concerns regarding his firearms purchases and online activities.
While the alleged plot was considered serious, officials confirmed that the event remained secure due to the preemptive actions taken by federal law enforcement and the Secret Service.
