Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly signed a prenuptial agreement with his new wife, Georgina Rodríguez, just one day before their wedding, putting financial arrangements in place before the couple officially became husband and wife.

Ronaldo and Rodríguez signed the agreement at a notary office in Lisbon on August 10, 2026, according to reports citing Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Notícias. They married the following day, August 11, in a private civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal.

The reported agreement establishes a separation-of-assets arrangement, meaning each spouse generally retains ownership of assets held individually rather than automatically combining their fortunes through marriage.

The arrangement has attracted considerable attention because Ronaldo is one of the world’s wealthiest footballers, with a fortune estimated in reports at more than $1 billion. His wealth comes from his football career, endorsement deals, business interests, property and other investments.

Reports also claim that Rodríguez would receive €100,000 per month if the couple were to separate. Other reports have put the figure at approximately £85,000 monthly. These financial details have not been publicly confirmed by Ronaldo or Rodríguez themselves.

The reported agreement is also said to provide financial security for Rodríguez and the couple’s children while keeping Ronaldo’s individually owned assets protected.

The couple’s wedding itself was remarkably private. Ronaldo and Rodríguez held the civil ceremony at their home in Cascais, with their five children present. Ronaldo later confirmed the marriage by sharing a photograph of their wedding rings with the caption “C❤️G.”

Ronaldo and Rodríguez have been together since 2016 and became engaged in 2025. They share two daughters, while Ronaldo also has three other children.

The reported prenup highlights how high-profile couples with substantial wealth can use legal agreements to establish financial arrangements before marriage. However, the exact terms of Ronaldo and Rodríguez’s agreement remain based largely on media reports rather than a full public copy of the document.
