Al Nassr Clinches 2026 Saudi Pro League Title
Al Nassr Saudi Pro League champion 2026
Al Nassr officially secured the 2025–26 Saudi Pro League title on Thursday, May 21, 2026, after a dominant 4-1 victory over Damac at Al-Awwal Park. The win, coming on the final matchday of the season, allowed the Riyadh-based club to finish at the top of the table with 86 points, narrowly edging out arch-rivals Al-Hilal, who finished with 84 points.
The championship victory marks a significant milestone for Cristiano Ronaldo, who claimed his first major trophy in Saudi Arabia since joining the club. The match was defined by intense pressure, as Al Nassr needed a win to guarantee the title.
Sadio Mané broke the deadlock in the 33rd minute, followed by a powerful strike from Kingsley Coman that extended the lead. Although Damac’s Morlaye Sylla narrowed the gap with a penalty in the 57th minute, Ronaldo solidified the result with a spectacular brace in the 62nd and 80th minutes, sparking emotional celebrations from the home crowd.
This title win ends a lengthy championship drought for Al Nassr, as the club secured its 11th league title overall—its fourth in the Saudi Pro League era. The successful campaign saw the team navigate a competitive season under the guidance of Jorge Jesus, who fulfilled his promise to deliver silverware to the club.
The victory has been hailed as a defining moment for the team, which successfully managed to fend off a late-season surge from Al-Hilal to lift the trophy in front of their home supporters.
The triumph concludes an unforgettable season for the club, with fans and pundits highlighting the collective performance of the squad, including standout contributions from newcomers and stars like João Félix and Mané. As the celebrations in Riyadh continue, Al Nassr cements its place as the premier side in Saudi football for the 2026 season.
