Egypt Boss Bemoans ‘Injustice’ After Loss to Argentina
Following a dramatic 3-2 elimination from the 2026 FIFA World Cup at Atlanta Stadium, the Egypt manager voiced strong discontent regarding the officiating during the Round of 16 clash against Argentina. Despite taking an early lead, the Pharaohs saw their quarter-final dreams vanish in the dying moments of the match.
The manager pointed to several pivotal decisions that he labeled an “injustice,” claiming that critical calls swung the momentum in favor of the South American side. While Lionel Messi and Enzo Fernández provided the clinical edge for Argentina, the Egyptian technical staff remains adamant that the match result was influenced by external factors rather than purely sporting merit. The post-match press conference highlighted a growing frustration within the squad, who feel their historic run in this global tournament was cut short unfairly.
