Donald Trump Jr. Announces Engagement to Bettina Anderson at White House
Donald Trump Jr. and Florida socialite Bettina Anderson have officially announced their engagement, making the reveal during a festive Christmas reception at the White House on Monday evening, December 15. The announcement, made in front of family and friends, marks a new chapter for the President’s eldest son following his split from long-time partner Kimberly Guilfoyle late last year.

President Donald Trump first shared the news with guests while hosting the holiday gathering, inviting the couple to the podium to share the moment. Trump Jr., 47, admitted he was uncharacteristically “at a loss for words,” joking about his usual penchant for “ranting and raving” before thanking Anderson for saying “yes.” He described the proposal as a nervous moment, adding that her acceptance was a “big win for the end of the year.”
The New Future “First Daughter-in-Law”
Bettina Anderson, 39, also addressed the crowd, expressing her gratitude to the President and First Lady Melania Trump for their hospitality and praising the White House’s holiday decorations. “This has really been the most unforgettable weekend of my life,” Anderson told the guests. “I get to marry the love of my life, and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”
The couple’s relationship first became public in December 2024, shortly after Trump Jr. confirmed his separation from Kimberly Guilfoyle. Anderson is a well-known figure in Palm Beach society:
- Background: She is the daughter of the late Harry Loy Anderson Jr., a prominent banker, and philanthropist Inger Anderson.
- Education: She graduated from Columbia University with a degree in art history.
- Philanthropy: She is the founder and executive director of Paradise.ngo (formerly The Paradise Fund), a nonprofit dedicated to disaster relief and wildlife conservation.
Transition from Kimberly Guilfoyle
The engagement comes exactly one year after Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle ended their six-year relationship. Since the split, Guilfoyle has transitioned into a diplomatic role, currently serving as the U.S. Ambassador to Greece. While the former couple still co-owns a $9.7 million mansion in Jupiter, Florida, reports indicate that Trump Jr. has spent much of the past year residing at Anderson’s townhouse in Palm Beach. This will be the second marriage for Trump Jr., who shares five children with his first wife, Vanessa Trump.
